Our Philosophy is to do what is right and then provide the best options and service for our customers. We do not have assistants or have someone else work on our loans. We work on our loans ourselves, so our customers get personal attention and good service. Most of our business comes from repeat customers and friends and family that they refer to us.
The owners, Jay and Jim, worked for lenders in the past before starting Clayson-Mitchell Mortgage. These lenders were fine companies but at times there were loans that made sense to us but that we could not get done with the companies we worked for. We were able to broker these loans to outside wholesale investors who could do the loans. Over time we also found that we could get better pricing from these wholesale investors.
In 1994 we formed Clayson-Mitchell Mortgage so that we could get more loan approved and with better pricing. Member of National Association of Mortgage Brokers and received the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval. Member of the Utah Association of Mortgage Professionals and received the Professional of the Year 2017.
