Quality Mortgage Services, LLC (QMS) was started in 1992 when company founder, Tom Duncan, a HUD (U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development retiree and veteran, heeded requests from friends and colleagues and decided to start a small QC firm from his home office after continuous requests from industry friends.
Soon thereafter his son, Tommy A. Duncan, current Chief Executive Officer, joined him in this endeavor.
Together, they worked on catering to the needs of a few mortgage banking clients, while creating an audit methodology and reports that would help satisfy industry obstacles during a time when paper, carbon copies and typewriters were considered the tools of the trade.
